I have been teaching
community education
classes for over 20 years. I taught a wide variety of classes from pressing
flowers to chocolate making. One fateful day, I walked into a bead
shop ! I began to make jewelry and started to specialize in
teaching jewelry classes so I could justify buying more beads.
I teach a great selection
of classes in many jewelry styles from beginning to intermediate skill
levels. There is something for everybody regardless of your jewelry
making experience. All of my classes include a full color instructional
handout.
My Jewelry
My favorite medium to work with is wire. My love
affair with wire jewelry started when my big brother Tom, who worked for the
phone company, brought me home a tiny, pink, polka dot suitcase filled with
colorful wire. I spent hours making rings, bracelets, you name it. Fast
forward 20 years, to my first jewelry class. I
am reunited with my old friend, this time combining it with unusual stones
and semi-precious gemstone beads.
